The Mission of the LCPD is to protect human life and property by enforcing state laws, deterring criminal activity and assuring highway and public safety. We operate as a part of the Community, serving the Community’s quest for a peaceful and safe existence, free from fear, and with democratic values applied equally to all citizens.

Goals:

The LCPD seeks to establish a relationship with the Community based on trust and confidence. We seek to build that as a Foundation in everything we do.

The LCPD strives to serve the Community with Police excellence and professionalism, enhanced by continued training, and refinement and expansion of our knowledge and capabilities.

The LCPD strives to establish and develop positive working relationships with all Law Enforcement Agencies and Offices with which we have contact.

The LCPD seeks to always present ourselves in a manner that serves to reassure the Community of our commitment to our mission, and our ability to perform it.
